Animation for the EcoTarium Planetarium Dome.

This MQP is for those that have taken AR3000 or have experience in 3D modeling and animation.

The dome at the EcoTarium (Worcester) is a full-scale planetarium powered by state-of-the-art synchronized data projectors.   These system is capable of projecting much more than just stars and planets.   It can project almost anything in large scale and far beyond hi-definition in resolution.   There is a growing community of artists that are creating full-dome 3D animations in Maya, After Effects, and other applications for planetariums such as this one. 
 
This MQP will consist of producing a short animation for the EcoTarium as well as other planetariums across the country using this technology.  The Ecotarium has already agreed to work with WPI on this project.    Interested students must have previous experience with animation.  Interested students should email: farbrook@wpi.edu.
